In her talks, Mary Lynn will be discussing how she managed to "pass" as a cowgirl for 12 years on a cattle ranch in remote Trinity County, and reading from Accidental Cowgirl: Six Cows, No Horse and No Clue, her memoir of twelve years spent vainly trying to run a cattle ranch with husband and partner, Carl Sutter.

Their “restful country retreat” had become a nightmare of work, a sinkhole of exhaustion, and a twelve year labor of love—think, Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, The Egg and I, and The Money Pit, all rolled into one messy but vastly entertaining romp through the sparsely-settled Northern California mountain wilderness.
